Trials and Testing

We have experience of laboratory and field trials for the Ministry of Defence, the Health and Safety Executive, University research teams, search and rescue organisations, boatbuilders, vehicle manufacturers, power tool manufacturers and major construction contractors.

Trials have included personnel and crew exposure assessments, platform and equipment emission and signature assessments, seat testing, cavitation measurement, and support to design and engineering teams.

Policy and Legal

We have supported senior policy makers responsible for integrating noise and vibration issues into larger management or procurement programmes.

We have provided Engineering Expert Witness services for the defendant, prosecution and on a single joint basis on cases concerned with whole-body vibration, hand-arm vibration and noise exposure. Cases have included fast boat WBV exposures, industrial and construction HAV and noise exposure, and military environments.

Data Analysis and Simulation

We are experts in time and frequency domain noise and vibration data analysis. We are familiar with analysing large and complex datasets for a variety of purposes including exposure assessment, engineering design and troubleshooting.

We have particular experience of severe environments where the instrumentation may be operating close to the limit, the trials environment is challenging and the accepted calculation methods may not fully apply.
